London Green Message – Cyber Awareness – 23 June 2017

When forwarding please respect the integrity of CSSC messages and do not alter the content or formatting of the authoritative message.

Please find below and attached a message sent on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Cyber Protect Team.

Over the last few months we have been developing Cyber Awareness Videos. The videos have been produced to address the apparent lack of ‘cyber awareness’ identified by the NCSC in its National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021. As well as mirroring the NSCS objectives, the messaging of the videos also runs adjacent to the national behavioural change campaigns being undertaken by FFA UK (Take Five) and the RICU (Cyber Aware).

There are five videos each lasting approximately 2 minutes. The campaign will begin on Monday 26th June 2017 and run for one week. The videos will be released one per day as detailed in the partner pack. Each video will be embargoes until its release date.

Please use these videos internally to raise awareness among staff or externally, for example sharing on social media platforms or mailing lists.

Thank you for your support with this campaign. Please see attached your partner pack containing instructions, links and suggested wordings for social media posts.

Please note:

  • The instruction to not include any web based links in social media posts
  • Links will not become live until their release date
  • All material is embargoed until its release date

For any enquires during the week please email the Met Police Cyber Protect Team – CyberProtect@met.police.uk

Kind regards,
