About – North West

The Cross-sector Safety and Security Communications (CSSC) North West region was established in 2017 and covers Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and the Isle of Man.

CSSC North-West is supported by a range of partners from both public and private sectors, including the Police, Fire, Ambulance Service, Local Resilience Forums, businesses and the national CSSC Team.

Covering over 30 industry sectors, each headed up by Industry Sector Leads (ISLs), accurate information covering a range of issues, from safety and security and advice and guidance relating to cyber security and fraud to appropriate protective security advice is delivered by a north-west network of partners with global reach.

Whilst news reporting is constant, and through social media, information can be shared instantly, it is now more important than ever before that security minded partners have timely access to authoritative accurate security information.

CSSC allows for a two-way sharing of safety and security information between the public and private sectors and is crucial in enabling companies and partners to make informed decisions that will help to protect their customers and staff and to enhance the resilience of their business.

We are actively building the north-west regional CSSC network. Sign up using the online application form to receive CSSC messaging. If you believe your organisation could contribute by distributing CSSC information throughout your network of contacts, please consider applying to become a north west Industry Sector Lead.
